How Is Shipping Calculated

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and are based on your location and the type/amount of products ordered. Feel free to use the shopping cart to test shipping costs and go back before submitting the order to make adjustments if need be. Seed orders over $100 ship free!

Shipping Season

Seeds ship year round. A fresh supply of seeds are harvested in the fall depending on the species. We ship them throughout the winter, into the growing season.

Plants are ready to be shipped as soon as they're properly rooted. This can vary from weeks to a couple of seasons. Plants usually start to ship in May, depending on the weather. The shipping of plants ends around September.

You can reserve plants online while between seasons, we'll set them aside and notify you when they're ready. We will reserve them, but to avoid making any false promises, we can't guarantee numbers and availability until they actually grow and are ready to ship.

How Do You Ship Your Plants and Seeds

Seeds are held in individual seed envelopes in a ziplock bag, or just in a ziplock bag for larger orders. They're then shipped in boxes or envelopes. Plants may be pruned or cut down to size to allow them to fit in our boxes. Don't worry, it won't hurt the plants and it can even promote more flowering and bushier growth. The plants are then individually wrapped in waterproof and carboard paper then taped together in bundles to prevent shifting. The bundles are then placed in boxes for shipping. Seeds may ship together with plants in combination.

How Long Does Shipping Take

At the moment, all plant orders are shipped via Canada Post as Expedited parcels. Timming can vary depending on the weather and your location, but plants usually arrive within 2 to 5 business days, and seeds in similar time (longer if shipped to a distant province). On checkout, you'll be able to see an estimated time of arrival for your items.

Where do you Ship To

We ship seeds to all Canadian provinces. Plants ship only within BC or Alberta in Canada at the moment. We do this to make sure plants arrive in a timely manner and to reduce shipping costs for customers. If you have an order of both plants and seeds, the shipping address must be withing BC or Alberta.

Minimum order

The minimum cost per order is $48 before tax and shipping, which is usually equivalent to 1 box of plants. We do this to accommodate for the cost and time involved in preparing, packaging and processing orders. We wish we could ship smaller orders but without a minimum cost, our online nursery wouldn't be possible.

How to Save on Shipping

We currently just carry 1 box size that holds 6 plant packs (24 plants) or 6 indavidual large plant blocks. Buying plant packs or large plant blocks in multiples of 6 is most optimal, for example: 6, 12, 18, 24, etc. So an order of 24 packs would ship to the same address in 4 separate boxes. We can ship boxes that aren't containing multiples of 6 but keeping within the recommended numbers is the best way to save on shipping.

Is On-Site Pick Up Possible

We are primarily an online nursery, but we welcome pickup by appointment for orders of at least $50. To arrange for pickup, simply use our online shopping cart to pick your items, then on checkout, choose the option "I'd like to pick up my order instead" and fill out the contact form to arrange for a time. Or you can simply contact us by phone or email to see what we have and make arrangements.

Returns and Guarantee

We offer replacement or refund if your shipped plants arrive severely damaged or dead and valid proof of replacement is provided. Please see Returns and Guarantee for details.
